Privacy Policy

This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and what choices you have.

Last updated: April 14, 2026

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information such as email and authentication metadata.
  • GitHub organization, repository, team, and access metadata needed for app features. We do not collect or store your repository source code.
  • Operational data such as sync status, logs, and error events for reliability and support.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide repository access visibility, synchronization, and management features.
  • To improve product reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • To provide customer support and troubleshoot technical issues.

3. Data Storage and Security

SassyGit is designed to keep working data local-first. Repository, team, permission, and sync metadata are primarily stored in a local SQL database in your browser using SQLocal/OPFS.

To support backup and restore across sessions, we may store a backup snapshot of that local database file in secure cloud storage (Supabase Storage), scoped to your organization and user context.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest.

4. Data Sales and Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or your GitHub-derived metadata.

We do not share your data with third parties for advertising. Your data is used only to operate, secure, and support the service, or as required by law.

5. Third-Party Services

SassyGit integrates with third-party services (such as GitHub, authentication providers, and storage providers) to deliver core functionality. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as needed to provide and improve the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
